With the holidays nearly upon us and as you prepare for your celebration, I hope you will consider helping us bring Christmas in the Classroom. This year continues to be very difficult for many families. Many parents are still without jobs. This holiday season will be especially trying for the children of these families who, without your help, will not receive a gift for Christmas.
Last year, Christmas in the Classroom was able to provide gifts for over 3,200 children at Juniper and Date Elementary Schools in Fontana, San Antonio Elementary in Pomona, and Troth Elementary School in Mira Loma, California. These schools are Title One schools which means the majority of the students come from economically-challenged backgrounds. Santa and his helpers handed out gifts, candy canes to all the children during this joyous event which was made possible through the generosity of suppliers, vendors, families, and friends like you. The children also received milk, chocolate milk, or orange juice at this event. For most of these children, the gift they received from us was the only gift they received for Christmas.
Our goal once again is to provide a Christmas gift for every child at these schools. It’s a big goal, but if we rally together it can be achieved! I assure you the joyful smiles seen on the faces of the children as they received their gift last year was paled only by the joy in our hearts for giving them the opportunity to truly experience the Christmas spirit. We invite you to share in our joy of giving.
Donations by check should be payable to “Christmas in the Classroom” and sent to my attention at the address below or, if you prefer, donations can be made through our website: www.christmasintheclassroom.com/donate. Our tax ID number is 90-0622135. Please join us in making this a truly joyous holiday for these children.
Thank you again for your consideration and I hope to hear from you.
